Magiera Magdalena

Magdalena Magiera is an artist from a small town by a lake in Kujawy. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań in 2006 with a degree in Industrial Forms Design.
After graduating, she began designing interiors and decorative elements. Later, she started to create illustrations for children, which she transferred onto fabrics, creating a collection of decorative elements. Eventually, she decided to have her paintings displayed in an exhibition at our gallery.
She has been painting forever and her painting professor said she could be classified as a colourist. Her strength lies in her ability to show space and emotion through colour and this is what characterises her paintings.
She has created a series called 'Myland', which is made up of places she has been to and misses. It is a place where you feel unconditional happiness; a place that can only be yours, but also a place that you share as your greatest asset. Her paintings not only attract the eye with their strong pastel colours, but also make you think by showing the essence of a place and the emotions it evokes.
